About Me:
Lorette C. Luzajic is the girl behind www.thegirlcanwrite.net. She studied journalism at Ryerson University. She is a food writer for Gremolata Magazine, writing a feature column about spices called The Spice Girl. She also writes other columns, including Fascinating Writers, and her freelance work has appeared in everything from Adbusters to Dog Fancy. Thomas Moore, author of Care of the Soul, called her poetry collection “sassy and profound.” The Astronaut’s Wife: Poems of Eros and Thanatos is her first book, available online or through her site. Her second book, Weird Monologues for a Rainy Life (irreverent ramblings from the end of the world) will soon be available as well. Currently, Lorette is focusing on her newest blog project, sketches of all kinds of crazy and wonderful characters, Fascinating People: Gossip for Smart People at www.fascinatingpeople.wordpress.com. She is also at work on a series of mixed-media paintings called Up and Down, focusing on the exuberant interior jumble of her wild heart.
